Documentation
Features of the Spitale (hospital) module
The hospital flow we follow: outpatient care → admission and ward → investigations → treatment → discharge, together with reporting and the institution's resources. Each area has a page with its status and limits.
Patient registry and Patient 360
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotThe patient registry validates the national ID number (CNP) by its check digit and always shows allergies and the active admission.
Admission, inpatient stays, wards and beds
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotThe admission desk works in three steps — patient, ward and bed, admission — and scanning the ID card pre-fills the data.
Inpatient chart (FOCG)
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotThe electronic inpatient chart is organised in sections: progress notes with vital signs, investigation and lab requests, treatment, prescriptions and referrals, material consumption and coding (secondary ICD-10 diagnoses, procedures).
Emergency department — triage and display
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotThe triage board has five levels (resuscitation, critical, urgent, non-urgent, consultation) and shows time since arrival.
Operating theatre
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotThe daily operating-room schedule: a procedure is booked on an active admission, started, completed with a mandatory operative report, or cancelled.
Laboratory
Partially implementedThe worklist tracks every lab request: requested, collected, completed, validated by a physician.
Investigations and AI imaging
Partially implementedInvestigation requests (laboratory, imaging, functional tests) follow their own flow to completion.
Treatment and medication administration (eMAR)
Partially implementedThe physician prescribes treatment in the inpatient chart: drug, dose, route and schedule.
Pharmacy and ward stock
Partially implementedThe hospital pharmacy keeps central stock by lot (receipts, adjustments, returns, movement history), imports the ANMDM drug nomenclature and associates barcodes.
Outpatient care, prescriptions, referrals and sick leave
Partially implementedThe outpatient diary rejects overlapping appointments for the same physician and receives requests from the patient portal.
On-call duty, medical staff and ward-level access
Partially implementedThe monthly on-call calendar is filled in per ward; the application refuses a second shift of the same type for the same physician on the same day and notifies the assigned physician.
Clinical mode: My day, My ward, Ward round
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotA large-target interface designed for tablets: My day shows the physician's patients, planned discharges, arrivals from the ED and the day's appointments; My ward is the vital-signs round for the ward; Ward round is the bedside screen.
CNAS and DRG reporting, health-card validation
Partially implementedReporting brings together discharged cases with DRG coding, pre-validation of cases at risk of non-confirmation, national DRG indicators with SMDPC export and SIUI XML export, plus the monthly CAS settlement and settlement invoice.
Patient portal
Implemented in the application · evaluated in the pilotA separate portal with the patient's own account: appointments (online request and cancellation), validated lab results with PDF report, active prescriptions, referrals, discharge summaries, notifications and questions to the attending physician of the latest admission.
Patient take-over from InfoWorld
Partially implementedA connector application, installed on hospital computers, links the existing InfoWorld system to the platform.
